Book I Recommend to you: _Adrenal Fatigue_
Friday, January 16th, 2009
_Adrenal Fatigue_, The 21st Century Stress Syndrome, by James L. Wilson, N.D., D.C., Ph.D., with a “foreword” by Johnathan V. Wright, M. D., is a book I recommend, for anyone (especially women) who find their bodies are showing signs of being overloaded, overwhelmed, and … they are becoming less and less able to cope with life’s daily challenges.
There are answers to what you need. They might be in this book, if you have searched elsewhere, but you have symptoms that cause you to wonder if you will ever “recover — (your) Energy, Immune Resistance, Vitality and Enjoyment of Life,” again.
Our bodies are intricately designed, and require balance in chemistry, in our mineral levels, with hormone levels balances, and … functioning in ways that reveal we are able to handle “stressors” that come, frustrations that affect each of us, and relationships that are not going as we wish they would. God has answers. Sometimes He uses those who have studied more than we have time to study, about particular topics. Try learning what is in this book, and I believe you will find some answers to questions you’ve been asking yourself (especially you ladies). Men, you may find that some things mentioned in this book will bring you some answers to questions you’ve been asking yourselves.
One thought shared in the book, from page 146, has to do with avoiding “chemical toxicities” found in fruit skins, of fruits not organically grown. The author lists fruits (he calls them “preferred fruits”) which are better than others for someone with an over-taxed adrenal gland. Some good ones are: papaya, mango, plums pears, kiwi, apples, grapes & cherries. But most of us still eat the fruits on “the other list” which we should avoid — get a copy of this book, and you will see why we all need to pay attention to the signals our bodies give us, which reveal we are not just imagining we need some help, but we truly do.
He also reminds us to discover any foods we have allergies to, so we can take those foods out of what things we eat. This will reduce our body’s “taxed adrenal gland,” so we can function better, to achieve the goals we have, in serving those we love, especially our Lord.
From what I have been learning, I am seeing that folks can benefit much from adding such foods, as *coconut oil* (be careful to find sources that treat the oil “carefully” so it does not get heated, which kills the natural enzymes in it, that God put there! The Tropical Traditions brand is our favorite!), as well as *cod liver oil* (the Blue Ice brand is one of the best!) (we get our *coconut oil* and our *cod liver oil* from the Wessons, at: http://www.goodgut.com/ ), and *Celtic Sea Salt* (we get ours through Mr. & Mrs. Wesson — http://www.goodgut.com/ ), as well as kelp granules or powder, and rose hips (cut & sifted, or powder)( we get these last 2 items — kelp and rose hips, plus our hyssop, cut & sifted — from http://www.oldtimeherbs.com/ ).
God has provided ways, and people, and His Word, above all, to help us with “issues” in health, in relationships, in life, for our spiritual growth and emotional health. Let’s make use of what others have learned, so we don’t try to re-invent the wheel. The “help” is available. Just ask someone you trust, and know well, who has “tackled” this, and “reached the goal.”
I got my copy of this book from the Wessons, and you may request information about it, at: http://www.goodgut.com/ Use their contact information to email them. They will be glad to help you locate a copy of this book.
