Introduction to the Special Editorial Section

Approximately a year ago, I began responding to editorials in the Dallas Morning News that intrigued me. The issues being discussed were not truthfully treated by the paper and I began to suspect that someone should speak out for the truth.

Though a few of the responses I wrote in were excepted for print, many more were not accepted. I inquired as to the reason for this and the DMN editors explained that, beyond the usual excuse that they do not print responses from the same individual until a month has passed from the last time that person was printed, they did not have a good reason. That is to say, I submitted my work within the times I was eligible and watched for it in the DMN. Instead of my, I thought well-thought-out response, they printed someone's slant toward what they wanted the public to know. You can always find someone with a rather cliche response to an issue. If the DMN did print someone in opposition of them or in support of opposing ideas, they made sure the response they chose had little or no support for what it was saying. Needless to say, my submissions were simply being conveniently overlooked.

I wrote the editors and told them I thought they could attract a large readership by putting the responses that were not published in a special Sunday addition called something like "The ones that weren't printed." They not only did not respond to my suggestion, but they sent me a form-like letter, sent no doubt by their administrative assistant, that said, "We really appreciate your letters to the Dallas Morning News."

This is when I decided to tell them that I intend to publish my responses, in the name of Truth, on my Web Site in the "What They Don't Want You to Know" section. I did not get a response to this information either. Therefore, I have gathered the following responses. I will have to depend mostly on these responses standing alone and will attempt to say what the DMN editorial was about where necessary. Feel free to write to me at WTDWYTK.
